There is an emergency

Koru is not an emergency service. Call your local emergency number right now. The SOS button calls only your family and emergency contacts.

Koru missed something

On the child's card tap 'Koru missed this'; pick the time and kind. Every report is reviewed by engineering. Most common causes: location permission not set to 'always', battery optimization on, phone off.

Why is there no map?

Because a map gives anxiety, not peace. Koru learns the normal day on the child's phone and tells you only what is unusual, after asking the child first. When truly needed there is 'Turn on live location': the child is notified, it lasts 60 minutes, and it is written in the log.

What does my child see?

Everything you see: which question was asked, what was answered, when live location was turned on, the trust level. Nothing is hidden. That is why children keep Koru.

What is an online risk alert?

If your child granted notification access on Android, messages are evaluated on the phone. You get only a category (e.g. 'secrecy request from an unknown account'); you never see the message and we never store it. A short guide on how to talk about it comes with the alert. On iPhone this module is not technically possible.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Koru. Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Koru. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the period.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. Your encryption key and content are permanently erased. To remove a child from the family: Family → child → Remove.
